Waste recycling services are now enforceable by law, driving a more sustainable approach to the treatment of waste. Alongside the traditional “bin” for Trade Waste, most businesses also require a service for Food waste, Glass waste and Dry-Mixed-Recycling.
Green Circle Direct provide and service all of the legally required waste receptacles (bins to you and me!) as required to dispose of all of your waste. Regardless of how much waste you have, a service can be arranged with a suitable, convenient collection schedule.

We offer flexible payment plans – ranging from a non-commitment short term plan for those starting out or not quite sure of the future, to a very attractive advance plan with substantial discounts as a thank you for the commitment – the choice is yours
We recommend that our Customers with no requirement for Healthcare and Clinical Waste opt for our Trade Waste and Recycling Package. Alongside the General Waste bin for non-recyclable items we will provide a Dry Mixed Recycling, Food and Glass service.
We also offer for sale bins from sustainably sourced manufacturers and associated accessories.

Dry Mixed Recycling
Our mixed recycling servicing allows you to put all of your recycling waste – with the exception of Food and Glass – into one bin. This is very efficient – saving time, space and of course money!
There are four categories of Dry Mixed Recycling :Paper – Newspapers, office paper, magazines, and any other dry paper; Cardboard – Cereal boxes, delivery boxes, corrugated cardboard, card; Metal cans – Drinks cans and food tins; Plastic – Empty milk bottles, drinks bottles, packaging film, meal trays, margarine tubs
Food Waste Recycling
Over and above those businesses producing or preparing food, in the daily course of going about business – whatever that maybe – our employees and customers / patients have to eat – and therefore will produce food waste. We cannot categorise food waste within general waste – and we have a responsibility to dispose of it sustainably.
With waste disposal to landfill sites becoming increasingly expensive (and rightly so – we need to help eliminate the need for landfill!) by not segregating your recyclable food and general waste you could face increased bills for excessive weight! With the introduction across England and Wales of “Safer Food Better Business” systems – it is required that bins should have close fitting lids to deter pests and follow guidelines with a specialist service.
Glass Waste Recycling
One of the easier substances to separate and recycle is glass. With waste disposal to landfill sites becoming increasingly expensive by not segregating your glass and leaving it in your general waste you could face increased bills for excessive weight.
Glass recycling therefore isn’t just for hotels, restaurants and takeaways. At Green Circle Direct our services are for all – and we recommend that our Customers opt for our Trade Waste and Recycling Package. Alongside the General Waste bin for non-recyclable items we will provide a “Dry Mixed Recycling”, a Food Recycling and a Glass Recycling service.

Green Circle Direct provides you with all supporting legal documentation including Duty of Care and Waste Transfer Notes – all easily retrievable on your digital portal. With our recycling services you are playing a part in saving our planet without any extra hassle in your back office routines and are also staying safe and compliant!
Following the publication of several initiatives by The Resources and Waste Strategy commission in February 2019, responses and potential implications of the initiatives are being worked through within various stakeholder groups. The documents can be accessed here and look at:
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reform – which addresses full net cost recovery, how producer monies flow through the system, different models of governance and responsibility etc.
Deposit Return Schemes (DRS) – the choice between ‘all in’ or ‘on-the-go’ solutions, with a focus on smaller containers or all packaging containers with differing models of cost and uptake etc.
Consistent collections – proposals around which core materials must be collected to support EPR reform (dry packaging – metals, glass and plastics) plus paper, and a proposal for weekly food waste collections and free garden waste collections etc.
A tax on beverage packaging, (HMT led), with less than 30% recycled content – considers how to assess recycled content, whether individual containers are included or families of products etc.
